Um die Mikroorganismen mit dem grössten positiven Einfluss auf die Pflanzengesundheit und die Ernten zu entdecken, sucht das Focused Sourcing Team von Indigo weltweit nach starken, vitalen Pflanzen unter weniger gut gedeihenden Nachbarn. Denn diese " Survivor"-Pflanzen könnten auf Feldern mit hohem Stress einen mikrobiellen Vorteil besitzen.

Zurück im Labor isolieren und identifizieren Indigo-Wissenschaftler Bakterien und Pilze im Pflanzeninneren, die es diesen Pflanzen möglicherweise ermöglicht haben, rauen Umgebungen zu widerstehen. Diese rein natürlichen Mikroben werden dann in einer sorgfältig entwickelten Formulierung kombiniert, die in konventionellen Saatgutbehandlungsmitteln zur Saatgutbeschichtung verwendet werden können. Da die Mikroorganismen, die wir uns zunutze machen, rigoros auf ihre Kompatibilität mit Saatgutchemikalien, Pflanzmethoden und Pflanzenpflegestrategien getestet und ausgewählt werden, können Saatgutlieferanten und Züchter die Gebrauchsanweisungen von Indigo befolgen und Indigo-Produkte nahtlos mit ihren Anbaumethoden kombinieren. Und da wir erheblich in die Haltbarkeit und Stabilität investiert haben, wird mit der mikrobiellen Technologie von Indigo behandeltes Saatgut auch nach wochenlanger Lagerung auf dem Bauernhof seine Lebensfähigkeit und Wirksamkeit zwischen Kauf und Auspflanzung beibehalten.

Indigo Microbielle Technologie

Indem Indigo-Mikroben die Pflanzen vor harten Bedingungen schützen und ihre Nutzung von Ressourcen wie Wasser verbessern, haben sie das Potenzial, die Erträge zu steigern, die landwirtschaftlichen Gewinne zu erhöhen und letztlich den Bedarf an Düngemitteln zu reduzieren.

Was uns unterscheidet

Labortests und Versuche auf kleinen Parzellen allein reichen nicht aus, um unsere hohen Standards zu erreichen. Deshalb arbeiten wir mit den Landwirten und Landwirtinnen zusammen, um unsere Saatgutbehandlungen in der realen, kommerziellen Umgebung zu verifizieren. Wir freuen uns auf die Zusammenarbeit mit Ihnen.

Unser Ziel

In den vergangenen Jahrzehnten nahm die landwirtschaftliche Produktivität mit dem Aufkommen neuer Züchtungstechniken, synthetischer Düngemittel, Eigenschaften und anderer industrieller Technologien stetig zu. Doch dieses Wachstum ist inzwischen zum Stillstand gekommen, und die Produktivität hat ein Plateau erreicht.

Deshalb haben wir uns gefragt: Wie wäre es, wenn wir statt auf die Steigerung der Ernteerträge auf die Stärkung der Pflanzen gegen Umweltbelastungen setzen würden? Umweltbelastungen, die eine Verdoppelung oder sogar Verdreifachung der weltweiten Ernten verhindern könnten?

Mikrobe für Mikrobe arbeiten wir daran, die Obergrenze der Produktivität zu durchbrechen und die Messlatte für die moderne Landwirtschaft höher zu legen.
